Checkpoint Plus Freiburg is a testing and counselling centre for sexual health. In addition to a rapid HIV test, where you get the result after only 20 minutes, we also offer other tests for sexually transmitted infections.
If necessary and after a consultation, you can have yourself tested for syphilis, chlamydia, gonorrhoea and hepatitis A, B and C. The results are available by phone a week later. You can ask for the results by phone one week later.
If you want, you can also have an HIV laboratory test, which can be done as early as 6 weeks after the risk contact.

Please meet the Checkpoint Plus Freiburg team of full-time and voluntary workers who will welcome you at our centre, advise you and do the testing. All our staff members are bound by confidentiality obligations and are continuously trained.
HIV/STI CONSULTATION AND TESTING
You will get a confidential consultation and we will provide you with detailed information on sexual health. Here you also can get tested for HIV and other sexually-transmitted infections. Checkpoint Freiburg only offers consultation by appointment at the following times:
Every 2nd and 4th Monday of the month between 5:00 p.m. and 8:00 p.m.,
every 1st and 3rd Monday between 6:00 p.m. and 8:00 p.m., and
every 1st and 3rd Tuesday between 4:30 p.m. and 6:30 p.m.
Appointments can be arranged via thebooking system.
PREP-CHECK
We only offer these appointments to PrEP users. At these times and in addition to any necessary medical examinations and counselling, you may get treatment for STI, if required, and also obtain any vaccinations you may need. For the PrEP Check please make an appointment by mail or phone 07 61/1 51 46 64 44, not via the booking system!

Everything you need to know about vaccination against MPX (monkeypox)
The vaccine is currently approved for men* who have sex with men* (MSM*) and reside in Germany. Since MPX is transmitted sexually in the vast majority of cases, vaccination is especially recommended for men* who have multiple sex partners. HIV specialized practices usually offer the vaccination.
